The TCA Summer Intensive offers an unbeatable taiko experience - the opportunity to focus on a taiko specialty with an expert in an intimate setting. Walk in with strangers. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the world debut of Hana Hachijo. Words cannot capture the electricity that ran through the NATC Participants gathered at the East West Theater in 1999. Chieko's interpretation of the folk tradition from Hachijo Island created a taiko shockwave that reverberates even now and is recreated every time she performs it.

In this year's TCA Summer Intensive participants will learn techniques behind the power of Hana Hachijo. This program is open to taiko players of all experience levels, ages 18 and above. For more information, click on TCA Summer Intensive.
